The Cosytoes Softmat Underlay must be used when installing Cosytoes Softmat Underfloor Heating Wire. Each board is a 5mm thick Depron foam board, laid out and closely fitted over the entire floor area. The thin heating cables bed into the underlay with the foil heat exchanger uppermost, and your laminate or engineered wood flooring is then laid on top, giving a total system depth of just 6mm.
